Bentley "old #1"

The expression "Old Number One" is the most famous name in the history of vintage Bentley racing cars. The first "Speed Six" ever to be raced. The car was the outright winner of the 1929 Le Mans 24-hour victories. 15th-16th June 1929, Driven by Captain Woolf Barnato & Sir Henry Birkin.

Jaguar JLM #20

The 1951 Le Mans 24 Hour was the 19th Grand Prix of Endurance, and took place on June 22nd and 23rd. Jaguar entered 3 XK120 C race cars in the 1951 race led by the young Stirling Moss in car 22, his co-driver was Jack Fairman and the pair led the race for most of the time - that was until lap 94 which was about six hours into the race, when a loud bang brought their race to an abrupt end. The reason - a con-rod had let go due to lack of oil caused by cavitation, a similar fate had already taken out the number 23 car driven by Johnson and Biondetti but, as we all know, the number 20 car driven by the two Peters, Walker and Whitehead, went on to win giving Jaguar its most important Le Mans victory - its first.

"American Champion 1961", Phil Hill became the first American driver to become World Champion. His Ferrari Dino 156 Sharknose (Car No 4) was an extremely competitive race car and was the first Ferrari to win this championship.

This piece of leather luggage has been designed to commemorate Aston Martin's 1st Le Mans win competing with the DBR1 in 1959, this was the last Le Mans triumph by an Aston until June this year 07 when David Brabham won the same race in a DBR9. Car Number 5 was driven by Briton Roy Salvadori and American Carroll Shelby in 1959.

Roy Salvadori owns the very first holdall in the range.

This holdall was made to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Ferrari in 2007. Sunday 25th May 1947, The 9th Rome Grand Prix Italy. A very important day in Ferrari history as this was the day when Ferrari won its 1st race. The little 125 S (Car number 56) driven by Franco Cortese took the lead from the start on the Terme Di Caracalla Circuit. Ferraris long and successful career started with Franco Cortese.
The bag is Nero Olio (Black) with Rosso (Red) Stitching. The full end to end zip allows for a big opening. The Lotus type 72 one of the most striking Formula 1 cars ever to have graced the track. The 72 was a triumph of technical excellence.

1972 The 43rd Italian F1 Grand Prix despite starting from a lowly grid position, Fittipaldi came through to take victory and win the race. Fittipaldi clinched the World F1 Drivers Title with 61 points, John Player Team  Lotus - Cosworth winning the World F1 Car Constructors a fantastic year for this British Team.

In 1963 Clark dominated the World Championship winning an amazing 7 out of 10 races, garnering 7 poles in the process. Driving the amazing Lotus 25 Climax. When he clinched the title his car was bearing the Number 8.

Maserati Birdcage

The Maserati Birdcage had a charmingly graceful body which was designed by the mastermind Giulio Alfieri, who integrated a light frame of barely 30 kg with more than 200 single pieces of tube. Because of this engineering innovation, the MaseratiTipo 60/61 acquired the legendary nickname “Birdcage”. Only 23 units were made during the years from 1959 through 1961.

The American Lucky Casner was one of the most successful owners of the Birdcage Tipo 61. In May 1960, Sir Stirling Moss and Dan Gurney won the 1,000-km race of Nürburgring. With the starting number 5, they accomplished an outstanding victory in the pouring rain against keen competition. Only one year later the Camoradi Team (Casner Motor Racing Division) repeated the winning record with Casner and Gregory as the drivers. These consecutive victories added new glory to Maserati and sustained its everlasting top position in the illustrious circle of racing car manufacturers.

This piece of leather luggage has been designed to commemorate Porsche 1st Le Mans Win in its class (1.5 litre). They finished 4th overall competing with the 550 Spyder in 1955, Car No37 was driven by Richard von Frankenberg, Helmut Polensky and Josef Jeser. They produced a great win. The Spyder was awarded The Index of Performance for the car with best combined speed and economy in the entire race field.

The year 1927 entered into history as the birth for the Mille Miglia, the famous 1,600 km racing course through Italy. By 1930, the name of Mercedes-Benz was closely bound up with this endurance race and their first victory came in 1931.

In 1955 Mercedes-Benz introduced its 300 SLR for the first time at the Mille Miglia. Among its strongest competitors were Ferrari, Maserati, and Aston Martin. Every minute a competing car got its starting clearance. Since 1949 the starting order had been decided by lot so that each starting number was a record of the starting time. The young-but-well-accomplished British race driver Stirling Moss, together with his co-pilot Denis Jenkinson (“Jenks”), received the starting number 722. They enjoyed fantastic success reaching the finish line driving at an unbelievable average speed of 157.65 km/h -an unparalleled record for a long time to come.

Ferrari won the Daytona 24 - Hours race in the USA on February 5th, 1967 with the winning car, number 23, driven by Lorenzo Bandini and Chris Amon.

This bag has the same 23 on the holdall and is identical to the original number on the car with the 23 in black sitting on a red background. 
The Ferrari P4 was just a stunning special sports car with the P standing for the Worlds Sports Car and Prototype Championship.

Why the number 29?

We decided to launch this beautiful Morgan holdall to celebrate Morgan's Centenary Year of Celebrations. It's a great leather holdall which is perfect for the car and a trip to Le Mans.  

This leather holdall has been designed to commemorate Morgan's 1st Le Mans win in Class GT 1601 - 2000cc 1962 competing with the Morgan Plus Four, Car Number 29 was driven by Briton Chris J. Lawrence / Richard Shepherd-Barron  they finished in 13th place overall.


This leather holdall is manufactured in Verde - BRG British Racing Green (dark green) leather with a Bianco (white) leather roundel with a Number 29 in Nero leather (black). The handles are finished in cream leather just like the roof of the car.  Full End to End Zip Allows for a Big opening. Maserati 250 F -Fangio

Why the number 1? 

This was the race number that was on the Maserati 250F in the famous 1957 German Grand Prix which was won by Argentian legend, Juan Manuel Fangio in one of the most memorable F1 races ever.

After the race, Fangio commented, "I have never driven that quickly before in my life and I don't think I will ever be able to do it again". This performance is often regarded as the greatest drive in Formula One history, and was Fangio's last victory. The design of the holdall represents the colour scheme of this iconic race car

Why the number 5?
